Honestly, this is one of my favorite whiskies and is always my choice when I want a shot of peat!

2nd Edition – Moine Mhor:

(Note, this one is no longer being produced and they have moved onto the 3rd Ed.)

Known as the Big Peat, this whisky does not let you down! From the nose to the finish, this whisky’s main notes are all peat and smoke. Yet, underneath all the bravado, it reminds you that this is an Island spirit, with a hint of marine in the nose and salt on the tongue. If you like peat, forget Lagavulin or Laphroaig, reach for this bottle and you won’t be disappointed. (originally written on 16 June 07)
