A 1904 Estate Gas Range
The “Special Feature Item” section of our website is reserved for the truly unique, one-of-a-kind vintage appliances, and this treasure is just that. It turns every head that walks in our show room! Produced in 1904, this Estate range came out of a home in Chillicothe, Ohio. The original owners of the stove had a general store, and they would use the expansive cooking space to can fresh vegetables to sell in the cold winter months. What a sight this beauty would be fully restored and sitting on an outdoor patio or covered porch! We can adapt the unit partially or completely to operate as a grill!
Okay, to be honest, I have been eyeing this stove up for a couple of years. It is featured on AntiqueAppliances.com and is one of their most expensive pieces at $15,000. Despite the price tag, this would be my ideal stove, especially with the grill conversion on half of it!
Instead of having this stove outside, I think that it would look ideal built into a giant inglenook fireplace, surrounded by some nice oak kitchen cabinets after it is fixed up. Black paint and shiny chrome would just make it pop!
If I just had a place to put such a stove, it would make a perfect centerpiece for a great kitchen.
{Just FYI, Estate is today owned by the Whirlpool Corp.}
